What if your left hand
speaks its own language
while you are sleeping
What if it converses with
the third toe of your right foot—
or just the nail bed of that toe
What if there is music here
among the microbes
and what if they’ve carved sagas—
illegible ridges on your skin
What if one day
you will be close enough
kin enough
to understanding

Give some love. It only takes a little ❤️.
I found t his interesting, as I had to learn to write with my left hand, considering I'd broken my right arm. Although my arm has healed and I can go back to my "normal" writing, I'm keeping on with my left-handed writing too. I rather like it. It's like a different version of me.

Do you ever have this intuition, that nothing is lost...every communication between microbes and skin at every level is as important to the whole picture of creation as everything else. I could be wrong, but I hope not.
