If you missed them:
This is the final installment of my long poem Red-Eared Slider. I am including the entire poem in the audio. I am hoping this is the beginning of better audio quality from me here.
Being a writer, publisher, marketer, audio engineer, videographer is far more than I ever set out to be. I hope that I will improve as I continue trying to do it all.
“Red-eared Slider” is my memoir in verse. All of it true—even the fiction.
(from mixed states. Wigestand forlag. 2009)
The entire poem is also available in Mercy Island, Published by Phoenicia Publications.
Thanks so much for reading/listening! I’d love to read and share more nature poetry. If you have a poem you’d like included in Substack notes, just drop the link in my chat, and I’ll be sure to read and restack it. You might also find other poems you’d like to share.
I’ll be back later this week with a process journal entry. Until then, I hope you have a great week!
Warmly,
Ren
