Title: A Torch for the Long Night: Voices Against Fascism
The world is witnessing the rise of dangerous ideologies that threaten the fabric of democratic societies. The current President of the United States is overreaching the checks and balances that are central to the function of the government. He is calling himself King, with a cult-like following who use religious iconography to idolize him as an anointed leader. This crisis, though it primarily affects American citizens, has far-reaching consequences for people around the globe.
We’ve already seen figures such as the Vice President supporting extremist parties like the AfD in Germany, a group so far to the right that even France’s Marie Le Pen has distanced herself from them. This is not just an American problem—it is a global one. We must speak out.

Fear and Rage
Fear and Rage sections will prioritize the work of poets/artists who are directly affected by fascist actions, and their ripple effects like being the target of hate crimes. This section should cast a wider net than just minorities, pro-choice, and LGBTQA+ communities, for example: indigenous peoples, those (immediately) affected by environmental issues, migration issues, and censorship; differently abled people, adherents to non-Protestant religions; unhoused, unemployed and underemployed workers.
Hope
The Hope section will deliberately present various age groups.

The book with be produced Print-On-Demand through the environmentally-friendly printer Blurb. We will not be affiliated with Amazon.
Selection for inclusion will be based on the needs of the collection and not solely on the quality of the work. We appreciate the opportunity to read your submissions and encourage you not to interpret any of our decisions as a reflection on your talent.
